French wines

V.D.Q.S. = ( Vin Delimite de Qualite Superieure ) – French high quality wines that must meet a certain number of production requirements that are established by law, including designated production areas and varieties used. Yields are limited.

A.O.C. = ( Appelation d’Origine Controlee ) – French wines with so called controlled origin,are grown on specific land parcels based on the concept of the area.Their production regulations are very strict and include designated production area,varieties used,cultivation techniques and low maximum yields which amount to 50-60 hectolitres.

V.D.P (Vin de Pays) = French wines that are associated with a specific geographic area identified later in the wine name.They are produced from strictly designated types of vines.

Table wines (Vin de Table) = all French wines that are produced from designated vines and alcohol contain is at least the minimum 9 %.
